 MEFS 2011 - Invitation

Dear Colleagues,

Founded in 1992, the Middle East Fertility Society is probably one of the youngest societies dedicated to the progress of reproductive medicine, yet the most dynamic. In no time, it emerged to find its place amongst leading societies, like the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.

With great enthusiasm, we invite you to Beirut to attend the 18th annual meeting of the Middle East Fertility Society on November 16-19, 2011. A particularly exciting and challenging scientific program will be brought to you by an elite of highly reputable international and local faculty. From basic science to novel clinical breakthroughs, a wealth of knowledge and a myriad of valuable information will be ready for you to carry back home. The scientific program is designed to fulfill every one’s needs with the latest in Human Reproduction, Embryology, Reproductive Endocrinology, Genetics, and Reproductive Surgery.

Home to a myriad of civilizations and cultures, Lebanon is a melting pot between the east and the west. At a short distance from the capital, the land reveals its rich heritage. You could visit historic landmarks like Byblos city of the Alphabet, Baalbeck host to the famous roman temple of the Sun, Tyr mother of Carthage and rebellious to Alexander the Great, Sidon home of Princess Europa and Tripoli. You could enjoy the city of Jounieh famous for its spectacular bay where proud mountains meet the Mediterranean. If you are fond of culture and night life, Beirut should be your destination; a cosmopolitan city that never sleeps, once named the Paris of the Middle-East, the pearl of the Mediterranean. Here awaits you an exceptional place bustling with recreational activities and entertainment opportunities; world-class night pubs, sophisticated cuisine tailored to your taste, and an elaborate network of shopping centers.

On behalf of the Middle East Fertility Society, we welcome you to vibrant Beirut, where culture, education and pleasure are only a natural mix.

Faithfully yours,

Johnny Awwad, MD
