Dear colleagues
Welcome to the 16th annual meeting of the Middle
East Fertility Society. Thanks to the continuous hard work and
motivation of the MEFS, we have witnessed yet another great
year of medical breakthroughs.
While the last two meetings took us to Turkey in 2007 and
Tunisia in 2008 and were a great success, in terms of
attendees and our advances in scientific topics. We are
confident this meeting will have the same kind of feedback.
We converge in the Middle East fully aware of the strength of
our society and reach across the area. Our Middle East
fertility journal has become a reference in fertility, and
keeping all abreast with news and developments. The newsletter
became a sustainable entity, strengthening the ties between
members of the society. This in turn gives us confidence in
our relationship with the ASRM and ESHRE, which I might add is
as strong as it has ever been.
This meeting brings us back to the core, Cairo. We have, as
you all know, met in various countries, but we have always
come back to the center of our success.
The
Pyramids,
the
Sphinx,
Heliopolis,
the
Hanging
Church,
Saladin's
Citadel, the Virgin Mary's
Tree, and
Al-Azhar,
the
Mosque of
Amr ibn al-A'as,
Saqqara,
and many more sites are generously scattered across the
“Mother of the World” . We encourage you to visit these great
sights and enjoy your time in Cairo, as the song eloquently
says “Take me back to Cairo beside the river Nile, my heart
belongs to Cairo, oh Cairo, where I have found my smile”
Thank you all for joining us here, we wish all the best for
all our members, we hope you all excel in your fields, and we
also hope our society will keep on developing, updating and
finding new scientific breakthroughs.
Thank you all for coming we hope you enjoy your stay.
Yours
faithfully
Dr.
Mater Sarraf

Dear Colleagues

In the light of
rapid advances in reproductive medicine and ready access to
information, it is critical for health care providers and
specialists to have up-to-date information for the workup and
management of fertility problems.
Over few
years the Middle East Fertility Society (MEFS) has gained a
worldwide acceptance in the field of reproductive medicine where
international figures in infertility are participating in its
activities. This has been attained through the combined efforts of
all successive members.
On behalf of
the Middle East Fertility Society Executive board and organizing
committee, it is my honor and pleasure to invite you all, who are
interested in this growing field of medicine, to attend the 16th
annual meeting in Cairo November 2009.
The congress
will be held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, the centre of the old
world, where most of the world remains, and monuments are located.
The sphinx and the famous pyramids of Giza, one of the world
wonders, a scene that can never be missed. Also, the Egyptian museum
and the citadel are places that you can never forget. Moreover, you
can enjoy the lovely weather of November.
We will be
looking forward to welcoming you in Cairo where you will enjoy, in
addition to scientific program and activities, an unforgettable
lovely time.
Congress chairman
Rafat Reyad
