Laboratory Interest Group (LIG)

The Laboratory Interest Group is the main attention for many MEFS members who are interested in the present and future developments of clinical embryology.

Eligibility:

All individuals who have a special interest in IVF Laboratory work are entitled. This includes laboratory scientists involved in clinical activities and/or research, urologists, clinical endocrinologists, gynecologists, nurses, and other health professionals. The LIG is open to all Active Members of the MEFS.

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 Objectives:

  • Establish an organized presence of IVF Laboratory Scientists and related professionals.

  • Serve as a liaison between LIG associates in order to improve the safety and quality of ART treatment.

  • Allow its members to share information on reproductive laboratory techniques, training of personnel and establishing new IVF Laboratories according to international standards.

  • Promotes study and supports research in reproductive biology while providing a forum for scientists and clinicians to exchange ideas.

  • Promotes knowledge and provides an opportunity for the exchange of ideas among Scientists by opening the Question / Answer channel through the MEFS website.

  • The LIG also advocates research and education (through MEFS or other companies that support research and education).

  • Organizing Pre Congress Courses in Laboratory aspects.

  • Debating on different issues such as Reproductive Genetics which may include studying the transmission of the genetic material from one generation to the next and also the effects of abnormalities in this genetic material on reproduction etc...

Note:

All Laboratory Scientists who are members within the MEFS automatically become members of the LIG.

The LIG members could be reached through the MEFS website and through circular letters if needed.

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

The aim of the communication is:

(1) to promote the contact amongst clinical embryologists and clinical staff
(2) to discuss relevant problems and new developments in clinical embryology.

The first issue is intended to be available after the MEFS 2005 annual meeting within the MEFS website and any contribution (message, statement or announcement) from clinical embryologists or clinical staff is highly appreciated.
 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

Pre-congress courses:

The Laboratory Interest Group organizes a 'pre-congress course' every year at the occasion of the annual meeting of MEFS.
