Reproductive Surgery

MEFS Special Interest Groups

Reproductive Surgery Objectives for the two-years

  • Institute a multi-level expert laparoscopy course that would be organized all year long to permit Reproductive surgeons to sharpen their laparoscopic skills depending on their respective levels.
  • Designing a comprehensive education module that includes a hands-on skills training component and assessment tool designed to teach and assess the basics of laparoscopic surgery and provide residents, fellows and practicing physicians an opportunity to learn and get certified through MEFS in the fundamental aspects of laparoscopic surgery.
  • Institute a Robotic gynecologic surgery workshop to introduce the advantages this technology might have for reproductive surgeons and eventually set a curriculum for training surgeons of the MENA region on the da Vinci Robot.
  • Provide a platform where surgeons can learn from their different experiences, exchange ideas and surgical techniques that can be used in their own practice.
  • Promote research activities between members of the MEFS and publish as a group in topics related to reproductive surgery.
  • Becoming a body that would use the expertise of its members in the different aspects of reproductive surgery to provide the leadership of MEFS with unified opinions and recommendations on topics of interest.
